Summary of Role:
To supplement our Service & Support team, the key activities will include:-
- Integrate telemetry systems with existing hardware and software solutions including Design, testing, installation and commissioning.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and specifications
- Being able to work as an individual and as part of a team - working alongside software engineers, hardware engineers, and project managers to optimize solutions.
- Being able to provide detailed Site Surveys and Technical Support for the wider team and customers.
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites across the UK.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and translating them into engineering solutions.
- Ensuring adherence to quality standards, project timelines and health and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve telemetry-related issues during development and testing phases.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team servicing a number of clients. The work will vary depending on the clients’ needs but typically includes some small projects work, some routine maintenance and some reactive support calls. In each case suitable training will be provided to ensure they are able to perform their duties.
Essential Requirements:
- 18th Edition Wiring Regs
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
- A good Electrical Engineering background (Preferably in control systems or electrical engineering)
- Several years hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of installing electrical equipment.
- Proficient in interpreting electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Experience of Installing and commissioning of Telemetry Outstations.
- Current Full UK driving licence
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Desirable Requirements:
- PLC/RTU or similar control systems experience.
- ISaGRAF experience.
- Auto CAD Qualification or experience.
- The ability to gain SC clearance
- City and Guilds 2391 & 2395 Inspection and testing qualifications.

- Good communicator and well organised individual.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines as well as effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Willingness to attend at customer sites both individually and as part of a team
- Willingness to want to learn and develop their skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. with a good understanding of industry standards.
