Adventurous charity challenge success
Capula colleagues, Matthew Haubus and Kevin Miller recently joined a group of colleagues from Imtech’s wider businesses across the UK and Ireland and took part in a challenge to abseil from the top of one of London’s highest landmarks, the ArcelorMittal Orbit Tower in Stratford to raise funds for charity.
The team have raised around £2100 to date and are expecting to exceed their target of £3000 when all monies are collected for the Alzheimers Society, a charity that aims to help find a way to prevent or manage this tragic disease. As Imtech operate in the construction and facilities management industry, the group also took the opportunity to raise awareness of safe working at height by capturing the experience on video so that it can be cascaded throughout the workforce to help reinforce safe working at height practices.Mike Moss, Imtech’s Group Business Improvement Manager, commented: ‘To support our Safety First approach, and with members of our Health and Safety and Operational teams taking part, this seemed a great opportunity to raise money for the charity and to highlight the principles required for safe working at height."
