Capula celebrates 50th anniversary in style
As part of Capula’s 50th anniversary celebrations, around 300 members of staff and their partners enjoyed VIP entry to Uttoxeter Racecourse’s premier live music racenight event of the year on Saturday 18th May.
The whole business enjoyed an afternoon at the races followed by music from 80’s band MADNESS, after dining in style in a private marquee. Capula, part of the Imtech group, also sponsored the ‘50th Celebration Mares’ Handicap Hurdle’, see the winner, Midnight Aurora, pictured with jockey Harry Skelton (owners Rio Gold Racing Club). Managing Director, Dave Pickles commented, “We’re really proud that Capula has reached this milestone and it was great to take time out to recognise this achievement and to celebrate with our employees who have made it all possible - here’s to another 50 years of innovation!”
All proceeds raised from the event by Capula, including raffle monies, were used to support Cancer Research UK. In fact, a team of Capula runners are taking part in the charity’s Race for Life event taking place at Trentham Gardens in Staffordshire on 4th June, and approximately £500 has been raised to date, further donations can be made here .
Capula has also been recognising its 50th anniversary milestone in other ways, with the addition of a commemorative logo, and the planned installation of a ‘heritage unit’ in its reception area which will feature some early product innovations.
The heritage unit complements Capula’s new customer experience centre which was opened at its Head Office in Staffordshire last year to showcase cutting edge technologies, including various AR experiences and Internet of Things technologies that are being used to help clients solve real-world business challenges.
