Capula helps fund hampers for Cumbrian flood victims
Donations from Capula and other members of Sellafield Ltd's supply chain are being used to fund hampers being distributed by volunteers to some of the Cumbrian residents affected by the floods.
Sellafield Ltd's Darren Ennis, Head of Media Relations said the support provided has been greatly appreciated by local residents, “Yesterday we were out and about handing out 300 hampers in and around Allerdale. The response has been overwhelming, with hugs and positivity.”
In early December heavy rainfall from Storm Desmond caused significant flooding in the North of England and Scottish borders bringing the most rainfall in a 24-hour period that the UK has ever seen.
