Capula launches 2022 strategy and announces leadership change
Capula released its 2022 strategy on Thursday 24th January at an employee meeting held in Staffordshire, attended by personnel from all of its UK offices.
The event was hosted by Managing Director, Mark Hardy and other members of the executive team. At the meeting Mark announced his decision to step down as Managing Director after 3 years in the position and introduced Dave Pickles, former Managing Director of Bilfinger UK as Capula’s new Managing Director, effective from Monday 4th February .
At the meeting, the business performance over the past three years was reviewed and it was announced that it has exceeded all of its key objectives and is entering 2019 with a record order book and profitability levels.
Mark announced some key objectives as part of the new 2022 strategy, including:
- Doubling the size of the business by 2022
- Continued investment in innovation with the formation of a full-time R&D team working on digital leadership projects
- Launch of new branding to reflect Capula’s strategy
Following the announcement that Dave Pickles will take over as MD, Mark commented, “I’m proud of what we have achieved over the past 3 years and I’m confident that under Dave’s stewardship, the 2022 strategic vision will be executed with skill and focus. Now is the right time to step down and let Dave manage Capula’s further progression.”
Dave is well respected in the industry and joins Capula from Bilfinger UK. Prior to this he worked at Siemens for a number of years in various leadership guises. He commented, “Automation is my passion. I’m excited to get on board, build on what has already been achieved and lead the business to achieve the 2022 goals and ambitions.”
