Lockdown locks going to a good cause

Caitlin Howells, Apprentice at Capula is donating her lockdown hair to the Little Princess Trust on Saturday, 24th of April.

Due to lockdown restrictions, Caitlin, one of our production team apprentices, has had to go the year without seeing her hairdresser and has made arrangements to donate 12 inches of her hair to The Little Princess Trust, where it will be turned into a wig.

Caitlin said: “I’ve always had short hair but since lockdown restrictions started last year, I’ve not been able to see my hairdresser. When the restrictions eased off and hairdressers reopened, I decided to hold off after hearing about The Little Princess Trust ‘Let It Grow’ campaign.”

“It feels great to be able to do something so positive after a pretty negative year.”

The Little Princess Trust helps children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.

They provide real hair wigs for free, helping to restore the children’s confidence and identity.

The trust relies solely on fundraising efforts and doesn’t receive normal funding.

Caitlin has booked in with her hairdresser to get her locks off on 24th of April where she will be recording the event live to share with friends and family.
