Tim all set for guest lecture on control systems
Capula Project Manager Tim Beech will be delivering a guest lecture at Staffordshire University next month.
Tim, who is also a STEM Ambassador, will be at the Stafford campus on Monday 10 November to present to Staffordshire University’s School of Computing students on the subject of control systems.
The lecture will look broadly at control systems, why they are needed, what systems are appropriate for different tasks and their relationship with IT – paying particular attention to software programming and system architectures and protocols.
“I’m looking forward to delivering this lecture – I thoroughly enjoy my work as a STEM Ambassador and I like to think that through my efforts I’m able to make a small contribution to addressing the current engineering shortage in the UK” said Tim.
The lecture has been organised by Paul Boocock, a former Capula engineer who is now lecturing in Games Programming, Software Engineering and Mobile Systems at Staffordshire University.
