Winner of PTC IoT Trail Blazer Award 2018
Capula is pleased to have been awarded the IoT Trail Blazer 2018 award at global software company, PTC’s Northern European Regional Kick Off event held on 15th – 17th October.
David Robinson, Head of Innovation & Technology at Capula accepted the award at the event in Reading, and also presented a session on the programme entitled, Digitalisation of Energy Systems.
The award follows the successful development of Capula’s award winning OPUS solution which is based on PTC’s Thingworx platform. OPUS is already significantly impacting organisations, including the NHS, where under the stewardship of parent company Imtech, the OPUS Energy Management Application is helping to deliver substantial savings and reduce carbon emissions at a number of NHS sites, by facilitating and optimising energy management and reporting.
OPUS has also become a core component of EDF’s PowerShift solution, following the acquisition of Capula’s parent company Imtech, by EDF Energy Services in 2017. Powershift is a collaboratively developed software and control solution for driving efficiency and cost savings and it has now been successfully installed at EDF’s Gadeon House facility, where it is expected to have a significant business impact.
“We’re delighted that OPUS has once again been recognised for the positive impact it is having on a range of industries and asset types as we tackle the next part of the Industry 4.0 challenge,” commented Mark Hardy, Managing Director. “Based on PTC’s Thingworx platform, OPUS harnesses the power of the latest IoT technologies and provides genuine added value to our customers.”
