Part of the EDF Group, we have over 50 years of experience in delivering support to critical national infrastructure, and we work in some of the most highly complex and exciting industries.
The role we play means we are committed to developing and delivering career pathways that build, shape and nurture the engineers of the future whilst providing exciting and varied career pathways for those with a passion for engineering.
At Capula we are committed to ‘growing our own’ and attracting, developing and retaining engineers of the future.
An apprenticeship combines academic study with practical experience at work, to gain a nationally recognised qualification, without the student debt.
We offer fully funded Apprenticeships at Level 3 and Higher Apprenticeships at Level 4 and 6, taking between two and five years to complete. We offer apprenticeships in both digital and engineering disciplines.
Our programmes provide apprentices with real roles and responsibilities and support from experts across our business. We have teamed up with both Newcastle and Stafford College Group (NSCG) and Staffordshire University, where our Apprentices will spend their time studying, alongside putting this learning into practice within our business.
We provide structured development programmes and the opportunity to learn and benefit from working alongside talented people, including skilled knowledgeable engineers on large scale, high-value projects. You will gain a wide range of skills, focus and experience through our development initiatives to start the journey towards becoming our next generation of technical experts and potential business leaders.
Our graduate trainees also benefit from access to a central training programme, providing an opportunity to learn and develop behavioural skills such as working effectively in a team and successfully dealing with challenging situations. Career progression can be quite rapid if you demonstrate technical competence and the ability to appropriately apply newfound skills with ease and confidence.
We are particularly interested in individuals with work experience/placements/degrees in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, IT, Computer Science/Studies and Systems/Control/ Automation/Instrumentation Engineering but will consider candidates from other disciplines such as mathematical or scientific backgrounds.
