Capula and Victrex unlock improvements in asset performance through AVEVA™ PI System™ modernisation
Victrex has taken a major step forward in operational excellence by modernising and expanding its AVEVA™ PI System™ across multiple manufacturing processes. Working with Capula, the programme strengthens data reliability, visibility and real‑time insight, giving engineering and operations teams faster and consistent access to the information they need to improve product quality, production efficiency and overall asset performance.
Capula’s approach and designed solution creates a secure, scalable and standardised foundation layer for the AVEVA™ PI System™ ecosystem which is grounded in a Purdue Model to strengthen data access and security. The initial phase focused on creating the architectural underpinnings needed for consistent data contextualisation and future expansion, supported by new Asset Framework structures, improved PI Vision screens, enhanced authentication and streamlined data flows. Together, these enhancements enable standardisation at scale, support faster root cause analysis and increase confidence in operational data across the organisation. Key use cases include improved product quality, easier access to historical trends for reporting, and enhanced asset health monitoring.
