Capula Engineer triumphant at Staffordshire University Business Awards
Alex Wixon, Graduate Engineer BSc (Hons), Capula, took home the Apprentice of the Year prize at the Staffordshire University Business Awards held on Thursday 14th September.
The evening celebrated the achievements of Staffordshire businesses with contributions and successes awarded across 11 different categories.
Speaking on his victory, Alex said, “I am delighted to have won Apprentice of the Year at the Staffordshire University Business awards and I look forward to continuing my studies towards a MSc as well as assisting Capula’s new Apprentices in their training”.
Steve Tellwright, Capula’s People and Quality Director celebrated alongside Alex and said, “This is a terrific achievement. Alex is a dedicated, committed and diligent employee and it’s wonderful to see him recognised for his exceptional hard work.
Since joining Capula, Alex has continued to highlight his commitment to expanding his knowledge and I look forward to watching his career develop as we continue to support him with his MSc”.
Since graduating Alex now splits him time between the IT and Nuclear departments allowing him to delve into more varied, long-term projects helping to shape his understanding and continuing to support his professional development.
