Capula has been granted Fit for Nuclear (F4N) status following a process of bench marking its performance against the standards demanded by the civil nuclear industry’s top tiers.

The F4N programme is run by the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) and is designed to help companies win contracts in the civil nuclear supply chain by measuring their operations against exacting industry standards to supply the nuclear industry in new build, operations and decommissioning.

This F4N approval follows on-site verification visits by an F4N assessor, as well as a thorough evaluation of competence within the civil nuclear field, and as such Capula is now listed on the online directory of F4N companies

We are delighted to have been granted this accreditation which reinforces our commitment to robust quality and safety systems. Accreditations such as F4N are important in supporting our long term business growth objectives into new-build nuclear and existing nuclear facilities,” commented Lee Heathcote, Business Manager for Capula’s Nuclear Sector. “I’d also like to thank Bid Writer Katie Henshall who led the audit process on behalf of Capula which involved dealing with the various interfaces and collating the extensive material required over an 8 month+ period.”

As a leading system integrator, Capula’s automation and control solutions are particularly suited to the needs of the nuclear sector as it has been helping businesses optimise, secure and extend the life of their nuclear facilities since the early 1970s.

Capula offers a complete range of services: design, engineering, testing, installation and maintenance of control solutions and digital solutions and and in every case it designs for beyond the life of power stations, building in ergonomics and environmental factors.

Capula joined the EDF Energy family in July 2017, when it was acquired along with its parent company Imtech. The businesses share a passion for safety, innovation, digital solutions and quality of service and are committed to developing and delivering energy efficient services and low carbon solutions for customers.
