Capula Project Engineer wins Student of the Year at NSCG Higher Education Graduation Ceremony

Craig Ostrouchow, Project Engineer, Capula took home Student of the Year at NSCG Higher Education Graduation Ceremony where he also graduated with a Distinction in Higher National Certificate (HNC) Engineering.

Having achieved his Level 3 qualification with Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG), Craig embarked on the Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Engineering as part of the Higher-Level Apprenticeship programme. Craig's journey through his time at Newcastle College has been marked by outstanding dedication and a positive attitude that has earned him the respect and admiration of both his peers and the wider faculty.

Craig's ability to build strong relationships with other students and staff members is one of his standout qualities. His politeness, positivity, and readiness to support his peers have made him a valued member of the college community. His tutors consistently praise him for his hardworking nature, punctuality and the joy he brings to the classroom. They have also noted a significant increase in his confidence over the years, a testament to his personal growth and the supportive environment at NSCG and Capula.

Despite facing challenging times in his personal life, Craig has managed to excel academically. His perseverance and determination have not only seen him complete his course but also achieve the highest possible grade. This outstanding academic performance reflects his commitment to his studies and his resilience in the face of adversity.

In addition to his academic achievements, Craig has also managed to maintain a full-time position at Capula, where he is highly regarded. His exceptional performance has not gone unnoticed, recently being promoted to Project Manager. This promotion is a significant milestone in Craig's career, highlighting his professional growth and the high esteem in which he is held by his colleagues.

Craig's contributions extend beyond his academic and professional pursuits. He is actively involved in promoting the benefits of apprenticeships to local school students. This advocacy work is a clear indication of his dedication to giving back to the community and his desire to inspire the next generation of apprentices.
