Capula Strengthens Skills Pipeline with 2026 Apprentice Intake
Capula, a leading systems integrator in industrial automation and digital solutions, has welcomed 22 new apprentices as part of its ongoing investment in future talent. The latest intake reflects Capula’s continued commitment to developing the next generation of engineers, project and commercial professionals and technology specialists while helping to address critical skills needs across the industries it serves.
Across the business, the new apprentices are joining teams in Production, Energy, Nuclear, Service & Support, and IT, undertaking qualifications ranging from Level 3 Engineering Fitter programmes through to Level 6-degree apprenticeships in Embedded Electronics, Digital & Technology Solutions, Project Management, and Chartered Surveying. The apprentices will combine practical experience with academic study through leading education providers including the University of Staffordshire, Birmingham City University, Aston University, and Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group.
Of the new intake, three apprentices will complete the Level 3 Engineering Fitter apprenticeship, while one will undertake the Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship.
At Level 6, two apprentices will study the Project Management apprenticeship and 12 will undertake the Embedded Electronics apprenticeship.
A further two apprentices will complete the Level 6 Chartered Surveyor apprenticeship, with another two undertaking the Level 6 Digital & Technology Solutions apprenticeship.
The intake reflects the breadth of opportunities available across Capula and forms part of the company's long-term commitment to nurturing future talent. Through its apprenticeship programme, Capula continues to create rewarding career pathways that combine practical experience with structured learning, enabling apprentices to develop the skills needed to succeed in engineering, technology, project delivery and professional services.
Capula’s commitment to learning and development extends beyond recruitment. Two existing employees are progressing to higher-level apprenticeships, while two others are being supported to begin new apprenticeships. This continued investment reflects Capula’s focus on creating long-term career pathways and helping people develop throughout their careers.
David Mitchell, Technical Trainer, said:
"We are delighted to welcome our 2026 apprentice cohort. Apprenticeships play a vital role in developing the skills and expertise our business and industry will need in the years ahead. Each apprentice brings enthusiasm, potential and a willingness to learn, and we are proud to provide an environment where talented individuals can build successful careers."
"We look forward to supporting this year's intake as they gain experience, develop new capabilities and make a valuable contribution to the business."
To mark the start of their journey, Capula recently hosted a welcome event for the new apprentices, giving them the opportunity to meet senior leaders, connect with peers, and settle into their new roles.
As demand for engineering, digital and project delivery skills continues to grow, apprenticeship development remains a key part of Capula’s long-term talent strategy. By investing in future professionals and strengthening partnerships with regional education providers, Capula continues to create opportunities for individuals while helping build the skilled workforce needed to support the safe, reliable and sustainable operation of the UK's critical industries for years to come.
