Capula to deliver cyber security workshop for local educational establishments
Capula is partnering with Principal HR Partner, the specialist HR educational advisors to deliver a security workshop promoting the National Cyber Security Centre’s “10 Steps to Cyber Security”.
The event will take place on 2nd March 2018, at Rodbaston Hall in Staffordshire and will provide practical advice, guidance and technical concepts in a non-complex way to schools and education establishments in the local area.
Targeted towards senior leaders, business managers, senior ICT staff and other professionals processing data in their organisation, the workshop will help delegates prepare for the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that comes into force in May 2018. The sessions will be followed by a free advice surgery where a Capula cyber security expert will be on-hand to impart their experience and knowledge gained from having delivered security solutions to critical national infrastructure.
Capula has developed strong links with local schools, colleges and universities through its apprenticeship and graduate training programmes, as well as its extensive involvement in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) initiatives in the community.
“We appreciate that schools, colleges and universities have funding challenges and cannot always afford access to the latest industry expert advice, so we are delighted to be able to support and guide them in providing secure digital environments for their staff and students,” commented Lee Carter, CISSP, Principal Cyber Security Engineer at Capula. “The event also provides an ideal forum for our experienced staff and newly qualified engineers alike to feed back into the education environment.”
Delegates will be eligible to take part in a raffle where the winner will be offered a free security assessment and penetration test undertaken by one of Capula’s security consultants.
