Good luck to Tracey as she sets off on Bear Grylls expedition
Capula’s Tracey Francis is about to set off on a Bear Grylls Survival Academy challenge in Zimbabwe to raise money for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. On 13th November she will join a team of twelve participants who aim to raise £100,000 in total for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charities 25th anniversary year.
During the expedition, the team will be pushed to their limit as courage, determination, instinct and self-reliance will be tested to the full in the harshest of environments. Capula will be posting updates of Tracey’s progress on the seven day trip via its Twitter account CapulaLtd, whenever she is able to keep in touch, however at times she will be completely cut off from civilisation.
Tracey has already exceeded her target of raising over £5000, with the total still increasing daily, thanks to sponsorship from Capula and parent company Imtech, as well as many well-wishers and friends. So far, the monies she has raised will fund two whole MAAC missions or eight MAAC response bags, which is a significant contribution as the charity relies entirely on donations to keep its air ambulances operating.
Various ingenious fundraising activities have been taking place behind the scenes in the run up to the event, including office raffles and cake sales. Members of the Uttoxeter Rifle club were particularly supportive and gave up their time to supervise two target practice days that were well attended by Capula staff, friends and family and raised over £540!
Capula’s MD, Mark Hardy said, “Good luck Tracey, I’m sure your success in raising this impressive total will stand you in good stead for the trip where determination and resourcefulness are going to be essential qualities. Come back safe and well!”
