National Grid’s RIIO-T2 Light Current Turnkey (LCT) Framework Agreement
Capula selected as a strategic supplier in National Grid’s RIIO-T2 Light Current Turnkey (LCT) Framework Agreement
Industrial control and automation systems specialists Capula selected on two lots to support National Grid, with lots covering protection and control capabilities.
Framework supports National Grid in the delivery of the UK’s future resilient energy system.
Capula has been selected by National Grid as one of its key strategic suppliers on their RIIO-T2 Light Current Turnkey Works (LCT) Framework, providing critical support to their asset replacement and build programme.
This 5 year framework is for the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of Light Current Turnkey Works to the highest cyber security standards for National Grid’s high voltage substations and will see Capula listed as a strategic supplier for 2 lots, which include protection and control solutions.
Commenting on the project Dave Pickles, Capula Managing Director, said: “Being selected for this latest framework demonstrates the strategic support we have provided to National Grid during RIIO-T1.
We feel this latest contract award is testament to our heritage in successfully delivering control solutions to the Grid, and our commitment to support National Grid’s future requirements in cyber and protection – both of which are complementary to our control pedigree.
We are really excited to be continuing to play an expanded critical role in supporting National Grid’s critical infrastructure projects as part of RIIO-T2”.
The scope of the framework includes Construction Design Management (CDM), Site Management with Principal Contractor responsibility and really draws on Capula’s breadth of experience in delivery turnkey solutions to critical infrastructure projects.
This recent success follows Capula’s selection to National Grid’s Light Current Equipment (LCE) framework earlier this year.
